What’s Augmented Reality?
The term Augmented Reality (or AR for short) refers to the enrichment of human sensory perception through information “added” to the normally perceived reality using mobile devices such as smartphones, PCs equipped with webcams or other sensors, viewing devices (e.g. retina-projecting glasses) and listening devices (e.g. earphones). AR thus represents a new way of overprint digital content on the real everyday context.
Is there a difference between Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality?
Actually they are two totally different technologies, as Virtual Reality (or VR for short) consists of a total simulation of a reference reality of a given online context in which one can act, move, interact and explore.
How can augmented reality be a useful tool for tourism?
